Jean's
16-year-old son suffered a concussion
during a high school football game in
2008, and as he sat on the bench for 45
minutes losing his eyesight and his
hearing, he was unable to tell anyone
what was happening due to his injury.
She learned through his four-month
recovery just how widespread the lack of
concussion education was. Unable to find
the resources she needed, Jean created
the SportsConcussions.org website as a
guide to help others.
